Hi how are you all today? I am well and had a good but busy week last week. After spending some of the previous two and half weeks road tripping three times, I was glad to get back to normal. Have you ever felt like that?
This week I want to blog on the final time. That is the title God gave me and I am not really sure how God wants me to write this. But I feel to start with Jesus.
God had a perfect plan in Genesis 1. He created the world and everything on land, in the seas and in the skies. He created light and dark and all the other things we don’t think of like gravity. Then last of all He created man and formed woman. Gods plan was all done and good. But it wasn’t final.
Something happened in Genesis 3 to spoil and Mar that perfect plan. Satan came along and deceived Eve into eating the forbidden fruit. Adam then wanted in on the supposed benefits as outlined by Satan but they both sinned against God. He told them not to eat of that forbidden fruit.
Sin entered the world and mankind and all creation and all aspects of it started to feel its effects.
A flood came and wiped away all but eight people but that was not the final time. Sin was still in the world.
Animal sacrifices and rituals were introduced but that wasn’t the final time as animal sacrifices can never atone for sin in mankind.
However all through the Old Testament, the Israelites were told of a Saviour Who was to be born. He would be mighty counsellor, Prince of peace, everlasting Father and do much more. The Israelites started to hope for their Saviour but Satan was destroying everyone who looked like they could be the Saviour, for example, the prophets.
However, one day an angel appeared to a young girl named Mary and told her that she would birth the Son of God, the Saviour who would forgive sins.
Mary birthed the Saviour in a manger in Bethlehem. A seemingly unusual place but oh so prophetic as it was said that is the place where the Passover lambs were birthed.
Jesus grew up, was tempted by Satan who didn’t win, and started an amazing ministry. People were healed, set free, delivered and do much more. But this wasn’t the final time either.
Jesus had to go through trials, be beaten, be condemned and be sentenced to death. He had to die a cruel death on a cross. It is finished was the cry of Jesus on the cross. Is this the final time that din would reign?
Jesus rose from the dead and conquered sin and the grave. He paved the way for mankind to believe in Him and what He did, repent of their sins and give their lives to Jesus. Is this the final time?
Not yet but I believe the final time when sin will no longer rule on earth is coming. It is not only the final time for sin to rule but it is also the final time, mankind can say yes to Jesus.
We don’t have a long time anymore to make that decision? Will you say yes to Jesus whilst there is still time? There will come a day soon when the final time will be the final time but you may not realise that is the final time.
The time to say yes to Jesus is today. Pray the prayer on I want to know Jesus page. You will never regret that decision and you will be part of the Kingdom of God before the door shuts. Will you make the decision today? I hope you do.
Bless you and keep living the life God intended.
