Hi how are you all today? I am well. My Christmas was good and I am currently at the coast on holidays. How was your Christmas?
There has been a recurring theme for me this Christmas that keeps coming up. It is Jesus is Immanuel- God with us. It seems with all the chaos and confusion in the world today, that at this time of the year we need to be reminded that God is with us.
Just ponder that thought for a moment.
God is with us when we get up.
God is with us in the kitchen and eating breakfast and every other meal.
God is with us in the car or on public transport.
God is with us at work or school.
God is with us in the mundane and ordinariness of life.
God is with us when we go to bed and as we are sleeping.
Sometimes we tend to forget the above in the busyness and troubles of life but let’s make a stand that we will remember this more frequently now and into 2026.
This thought comes from Luke 1: 28 in the Message Bible which states:
26-28 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to the Galilean village of Nazareth to a virgin engaged to be married to a man descended from David. His name was Joseph, and the virgin’s name, Mary. Upon entering, Gabriel greeted her:
Good morning!
You’re beautiful with God’s beauty,
Beautiful inside and out!
God be with you.
Notice what the angel said:
- He knew Mary’s character and heart.
- He knew who Mary was.
- He reminded her that God was with her.
God wants to say the same things to you today in this season.
God knows who you are- your personality, your heart, your attitudes.
God calls you beautiful- God does not see us as we and others see us. He sees us through perfect love and through the sacrifice of Jesus. Remember, God created you and He doesn’t make anything bad- we choose bad.
God is with you- as stated above, God is with you everywhere. He doesn’t leave us to fend for ourselves- He is always there.
This blog is deliberately short as I would like each of you to ponder these truths and apply them to your lives.
None of us knows what 2026 will bring and that can make us feel uncertain. But two things we do know is God knows us and He is with us.
Have a great week and keep living the life God intended for you.
Bless you
Karen
