Faith always comes

The fact that faith always comes can seem so hard to believe when you are in the midst of a struggle. At the moment, I am in such a place. So when you are there, how do you keep yourself from getting into unbelief? I believe there are a few key areas which I will touch on. However, first we must establish, how faith comes.

Romans 10:17 says that faith comes by hearing and hearing the Word of God. This means that faith grows. Jesus said in Mark 11:24 that if we have faith as small as a grain of mustard seed, we can speak to the mountain and it will be removed. First, we have to know we have a mustard seed of faith. Faith is believing something will happen before it actually physically does happen. That is our foundation of faith.

The fist key area is that we have to stick to that foundation of faith, no matter what! It doesn’t matter what my circumstances are screaming at me, I have to believe God’s Word. This does not mean my healing will come straight away – that is a miracle. A miracle is a supernatural occurrence. What I am speaking about is a day by day growing in the truths of God’s Word. It is getting up in the morning seeing myself healed, even though physically I may not be. It is looking at the debts and believing that God will meet all your needs.

The second key area we need to believe is that faith always comes. The verse doesn’t say faith will stop at a certain point or even slow down. All that is only determined by our believing and not by the Word of God. Faith will always come and the result of that is that the truths in the Word of God will work for your life.

Last year, I had major anxiety. I realised it was a spiritual battle and I needed to hear and confess the Word of God. However, it took me four months to get back to work. Day by day, my faith was getting stronger through that period because faith and its results will always come.

Another time in my life, many years ago, I had a problem with anger. Sometimes, it still rears its ugly head. This time, I can’t even tell you when the stronghold was broken over my life because it was so gradual. As I kept reading the Bible every single day, the truths in the Word of God got down in your spirit, removed those strongholds and changed my life.

So don’t stop believing God’s Word. If you get discouraged, remember the verse that when we have done all, we are to keep standing. As long as we don’t give up on the promises of God for our lives, our lives will be changed by the Word of God as faith comes. Jesus is changing us from glory to glory. The Word of God is Spirit and life. I can’t tell you how it changes us, I just know it does.

Remember, don’t give up, faith always comes and so do the results. Keep going – God and you can do it. Keep praying and believing. God’s Word will work for you! Have a great week and keep living the life God intended for you!
