Unseen but known

Hi how are you all today? Happy Mother’s Day for those celebrating it today or yesterday. This is a special day where we honour mums- not only natural mums but all mums. They include spiritual, those wanting to become one, those you have lost a child or baby, step mothers, adopted mothers and so on.

Why would we celebrate mums? Because most of the time what they do in unseen by many but it is seen by God. I was in a meeting of girls last week and I felt a bit the same – unseen. I went by myself and though I sat in a group of girls I felt unseen.

But then God spoke to my heart. What was I there for? I didn’t have to go. I was there to worship God and get a new word over my life. Although I felt unseen in the natural, I am known by God.

As stated previously this is what motherhood can feel like. In the midst of dirty dishes, meals to prepare, shopping to be done and kids to get ready, it seems like who we really are has been put on hold. But it is in those moments where we can remind ourselves that God sees us. He sees us raising the next generation of warriors for Him. He hears the prayers we pray over our children- young or adult. He has our heart when we cry over our children and wonder what to do next and how to handle that situation . He doles out wisdom when we ask, in abundance, as God knows that is what we need.

In those unseen moments, you are definitely known. I will leave you with this scripture in Proverbs 31:

Her children respect and bless her;
her husband joins in with words of praise:
“Many women have done wonderful things,
but you’ve outclassed them all!”
Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised
is the woman who lives in the Fear-of-God.
Give her everything she deserves!
Adorn her life with praises!

As a mum this is how you are known by God. Will you take His promise and live by it?

For those that are not mums, I want to remind you that you are known and loved by God. It is a non-negotiable no matter what you are feeling.

Have a great week and keep living the life God intended for you.

Bless you

Karen
