Hi how are you all today? I am well. I can’t believe we are in Autumn and I still have the aircon on. It still feels like summer. How is it where you live?
God usually gives me the title for my blog and all I get this week is Thoughts. Thoughts on what? Probably the way the world is going is what I am thinking on. We see the prophecies in the Bible coming to pass daily.
There are earthquakes, wars, cyclones, typhoons, tornadoes, floods and famines going on all over the world. When I read the news headlines, I can hardly find one good news story. It seems to be all doom and gloom and without hope.
I thank God for us Christians, there is hope and His name is Jesus. If this world was all there was to life, at times it can seem miserable. But the hope for us Christians is the promise of Jesus’ return and a home forever in heaven. Heaven is everything good and perfect. The Garden of Eden was similar to what heaven is like. There is no sin, no suffering, no death and no darkness.
In 1 Thessalonians 4: 15 to 18 in the Message Bible, it states:
And then this: We can tell you with complete confidence—we have the Master’s word on it—that when the Master comes again to get us, those of us who are still alive will not get a jump on the dead and leave them behind. In actual fact, they’ll be ahead of us. The Master himself will give the command. Archangel thunder! God’s trumpet blast! He’ll come down from heaven and the dead in Christ will rise—they’ll go first. Then the rest of us who are still alive at the time will be caught up with them into the clouds to meet the Master. Oh, we’ll be walking on air! And then there will be one huge family reunion with the Master. So reassure one another with these words
These verses tell us about the coming of Jesus and the last words in the verses states that we are to encourage one another with these words. Why? To allow hope to rule in our lives, not fear.
But before that day what else can we expect. As stated in an earlier post this year, 2023 is the revealing of the sons and daughters of God. These sons and daughters love Jesus, fear God and are led by the Holy Spirit. There is a rising up of the church about to take place.
These sons and daughters will be markedly different from the world. They will talk different, act different and live different. But there will be a light around them that they can’t see, but others will. They will be like Peter and John walking down the road and their shadow will heal people. The places they go will have a light on them. They won’t have to go searching; people will come to them like moths are drawn to the light. An army is arising that will shine light where there is darkness.
Are you ready? I am. Are we walking into the unknown? Yes but we are not alone. The Holy Spirit will lead us.
These are the last days and ones that were prophesied about a long time ago and we get to see and experience it. God wants to work through each of us but we must be willing.
Are you ready? Then it’s time to shine.
Bless you heaps and keep living the life God intended for you.
