Hi I hope you are all well and looking forward to Christmas. I am – I have finished cooking and now need to pack and travel to catch up with family.
I just wanted to remind you all that Jesus came to earth so God could show us in the natural that He was Emmanuel – God with us.
He is not far away that you can’t feel His presence.
He is not far away that He has no idea of your battles and troubles.
He is not far away that He can’t reach you and touch you so you know He is near.
He is not far away that He can’t see you tears and can wipe them away.
He is not far away that He can’t hear your quiet whispers of help.
He is not far away that He can’t cleanse you of guilt and shame.
He is not far away that He can’t be beside and live within you to help you with anything.
When we were little we wished for a person that could come and be our friend, give us peace and love and an assurance that everything would be okay.
That person is Jesus and only Jesus.
As we sing those Christmas songs, give presents and eat special food, may we remember that none of this would be possible without God with us.
