God doesn’t forget

Hi how are you all today? I was at church this morning and we had a great service. God spoke to me in a personal way. Do you hear the voice of God? I hope you do. But don’t listen for a loud voice as that won’t happen. More often than not- God has a still small voice and we really need to quiet ourselves to hear it.

A couple of conversations have happened this week where I have had to remind people that God doesn’t forget. God doesn’t forget His promises, His plans for us or even the work we did for Him in a previous season. The only thing God forgets is our sins when we repent and ask for forgiveness. Why is it important for us to remember that God never forgets?

How do you feel when a loved one forgets your birthday or an anniversary? It makes us feel unloved and unappreciated. That’s why God can’t forget- He loves us way too much. He never leaves us and He won’t let us down

So let’s look at some verses on what God doesn’t forget. Hebrews 6:10 says that God is not unjust to forget your work and labour of love which you have shown toward His Name. We are commanded to let all we do be as unto the Lord. So even if we are working in the secular world, our work is still unto God. If in this season you are changing jobs, retiring or even moving out of ministry, I want to encourage you today that God won’t forget what you did for Him.

In Luke 12:6, God does not forget one of the sparrows. If God doesn’t forget one bird then God is not going to forget about you. He loves you dearly and in verse 7, all the hairs on your head are numbered. That’s how much God cares about you.

God doesn’t forget about the broken- hearted, the lonely, the trafficked child, the divorcee, the drug addict, the one who calls them self good or even the atheist. God knows everyone because He created us.

So when you are feeling down and discouraged, remember God has not forgotten you. He loves you and remembers all you have done for Him.

Be blessed and keep living the life God intended for you.

Karen
