2020 – the year of restoration

Hi how are you all? I pray you are well and have had a good start to the year. If not, just keep trusting God. My country has lots of bushfires at the moment but it is not near me. We are praying for rain as that is the only thing that will stop them unless God puts them out supernaturally. So it hasn’t been a good start for some.

When I was reflecting on 2019, my pen kept writing and the words 2020- the year of restoration came out. I wasn’t even thinking about that when God penned those words through me. But now that I have, I can understand the reason.

Most of us need restoration in one or more areas of our lives. Our nations need restoration of Godly principles and our land needs the restoration of rain. But what does restoration really mean? I don’t know about you but I am not looking for the old to be made new, I am looking for new outright. So let’s look at one of the meanings from the Merriam-Webster dictionary. It states that the meaning of restoration is a restoring to an unimpaired or improved condition. That’s what I am looking for – a restoration to improve.

Our verse today is found in Joel 2: 25-26 and is from the New King James Bible and says:

So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten,
The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust,
My great army which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied,
And praise the name of the Lord your God, Who has dealt wondrously with you;
And My people shall never be put to shame.

Are you praying that your years will be restored? Maybe something has eaten your finances and you need them restored. Maybe your health needs to be restored and improved. What about your work? Have you been overlooked and you feel hard done by? What about your family? Has the world consumed them and chewed them up and they are no longer walking with God?

Whatever you are praying, believing God for and standing on His Word for – this is the year of restoration. We need to have faith which is believing we can see it when in the natural, it looks the opposite.

2020 is your year to shine and for others to see the restoration power of God around your life. Can you see it? Are you raising your level of expectation up? It can be yours. I certainly am.

I look forward to hearing your stories of restoration. Please write and let me know. I am expecting great things for you and me.

Have a great week and keep living the life God intended for you.

Bless you

Karen
