Faith sees

A few weeks ago, I was at a conference in Sydney and God spoke to me and said Karen faith always sees. Faith is not blind as it knows where it is going, it is not looking behind as it is always looking ahead and nor is it looking at the circumstances for they are only temporary. Faith is always seeing what is possible and what is eternal. Faith always sees good and never evil.

God instructed me to go past Hebrews 11:6 which states that without faith it is impossible to please God to see the practical applications of faith in people’s lives. So let’s look at some of these.

Abraham is the one most of us associate with a deep knowledge of what faith is and how it should be lived. God called him to leave his country and his family to go to somewhere he didn’t know and had never been before. He just went on the spoken Word of God. We have the written Word of God and just need to obey it. Abraham could see by faith where he was going, but he had never physically been there. God calls us to step out and follow Him, not knowing where it will lead. But if we just follow by faith and trust in God, doors and opportunities will open to us we could never have imagined or had the natural faith to see.

Abraham believed by faith for a son even though both he and his wife were too old. How did this happen? God gave him a vision of the stars in heaven and the grains of sand on the seashore. He then changed His name from Abram to Abraham which changed his identity. God has given you dreams and visions too – for a good future and to make a difference in the world. It is time to just know that faith sees. He has also given us a new identity in Jesus and said that we are a new creation. Physically on the outside, we may not see it but on the inside we are being changed. Faith sees our potential and our identity.

Moses grew up in a foreigners palace as their son but faith saw that he was an Israelite. Through circumstances that happened over many years, Moses led the people out of Egypt to the promised land – a land that he had not seen before but one that he knew was there by faith. We may need to rely on faith seeing for a while but if we don’t give up, our circumstances will change.

Is your faith seeing today? What is it seeing? Have you lost your way because your faith has been blinded or you are looking the other way? Pray and ask God to help you get your faith back to seeing, believe His promises and then start seeing faith work. Your life will never be the same. Have a great week and keep living the life God intended for you.
