Vision then gifts

Have you ever looked at others and seen what marvellous gifts they have? It could be singing, playing a musical instrument, acting, a good business person, a craftsman or even a good public speaker. You sit there and wonder what is my gift or maybe I just don’t even have one. Let me tell you that you are gifted with a unique gift that is totally yours built for you but there is a couple of criteria to finding out what that gift is. Let’s explore them!

The first is that we have to know without doubting that Jeremiah 29:11 is true. That verse says that God has a plan for our lives – a plan to give us a future and a hope. There can only be a good plan where we are wanting to live it out. Good plans only come when we are fulfilling the desires of our heart. That means operating in the calling on our lives and using our gifts. If your life is not on a good path, seek God and counsel from others regarding your purpose. Look inside yourself and ask yurself what you like doing best.

This brings me to my second point. Gifts will only be revealed once vision is established. I was reading the book of Exodus the other day where God was giving the plans of the tabernacle and everything to be contained within it to Moses. After God had given Moses the instructions and the vision, God told Moses that He had specially gifted someone to carry out that vision. Interestingly enough, that person was not Moses. See Moses already had a role using his gifts. He was the deliverer and leader of Israel. So someone else was needed. That person had no idea that they had these gifts until the vision was given.

We have established that God has a good plan for your life. What you and I need to establish is what is the vision that God has given us. Do you want to run your own business, turn your hobby into an enterprise, write a book, teach kids about Jesus, go on a mission trip, nurse people etc. What is it? Once you have your vision from God, God will open up those gifts He has already give you to accomplish the good plan He has for your life. What are you waiting for? Step out in faith and go for it. I would love to read your testimony of how God did this for you. Have an amazing day and keep living the life God intended for you.
