Living in a good economy

Living in a good economy – how and where does that happen. I guess if you watch the news and read the newspapers, it is impossible to believe that there is a good economy. However, you can live in one and that is God’s.  You may say how when we live on earth. I understand that heaven may be a little different but right here right now – impossible.

But it is not only possible but a reality. IF? If what? If you believe and follow God’s principles of economy.  Notice I didn’t say only to follow but to believe and follow. If you don’t believe God’s ways work then you may follow but will easily become discouraged when it “appears” not to work. Thousands have proved God’s principals work but many of those same people don’t believe and trust in God. So they only receive part of the blessing! God wants us to receive all of His blessing.

So how does that happen in our world. First, let me remind you that God’s ways are not our ways. So most of the time, God says and does things that are in direct contrast to the ways we see and experience around us. So to live in a good economy requires one thing and that is give. Yes that’s right, in God’s economy we give to receive. But how does that work!

God always operates on the principles of sowing and reaping. If we sow love, we get love. If we sow friendship, we get friends. When God sowed Jesus (His Son)into the world, He was expecting a harvest of sons. So, if we sow finance, we will reap finance.

How does God give it back? In numerous ways – too many to talk about in this post. Some of those ways I have experienced is my grocery bill or petrol is cheaper, unexpected finances come in, you get an unexpected promotion or sometimes, there is no way to explain it.

How much does God expect me to give? The Bible says a minimum of 10%. However, if you cannot start with that, start with something and watch God move.

For me, the funnest part of giving is to see the way God moves. If you don’t expect it, you will not be looking for it.

I would much rather trust the Word of God than what I see around me. Because what I see changes on a daily basis but God’s Word always works if we believe it.

So start giving, believe that God’s Word works and then start seeing how God moves in your world. I promise that if you believe you will receive. Just one more thing. In the Bible, it states that seed time and harvest will always remain. That word in the middle “time” is very important. You may not receive your harvest today, tomorrow or even next week. But what I will tell you is that God is faithful to His Word.

That is what living in a good economy looks like. Be blessed this week!!!!

  3. I’m amazed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both equally educative and interesting, and let me tell you, you’ve hit the
nail on the head. The issue is something that too few folks are speaking intelligently about.
I am very happy I found this during my hunt for something regarding this.
